A NEW exhibition combining art and music has been launched at a gallery in St Phillip’s.

Hinky Punk is a joint project run by art collective Style88 and music website Migoi-Music, and backed by the Sofa Project furniture charity.

Held at the Paintworks until this Sunday, the HinkyPunk exhibition is showcasing photography, painting, illustration and installation works of art.

In addition, DJs including Bitfunk, Pete Daisy, Jessica Flexa and Obiwon will play at the paintworks on Saturday night from 8pm.

A spokesman said:

“HinkyPunk is an important step forward for the style88 project, which has received glowing support throughout its time online.

“It is important that we provide our artists with opportunities to exhibit their work a ‘real’ people, embracing the community that we are building.

“And for Migoi-Music, it is a chance to show off some of the musical talent that will soon be accessible through their website in 2008”
